Job description

We are looking for a subject matter expert Middleware & Financial Messaging (SWIFT,FIX,EBICS), with a strong technical background who is capable of interacting with various customers from the business side.

Your Role & Responsiblity

As a Subject Matter Expert Middleware & Financial Messaging your main responsibilities will involve:

Application 2nd level Support:

  • Investigation and escalation of issues reported by the central team or by end users.
  • Perform standard changes and service requests as well as provide user guidance and support during financial close periods
  • All above-mentioned support activities are performed in the area of financial messaging (SWIFT,FIX,EBICS), middleware, master and market data and reconciliation
  • Ensure know-how transition to TRIS service center (1st level support) and within the central MW team

Project Work:

  • Participate in projects and take the role of a primary point of contact who acts as coordinator from the Middleware team and takes responsibility for project deliverables
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with existing and new customers to analyze information needs and requirements
  • Work on solution design and on solution implementation in close collaboration with other SMEs and developers
  • Engage in improving activities to prepare and ensure stability of the INFINYS systems for further growth
  • Document project activities and solutions
  • Support and perform testing activities

Your Profile

As a Subject Matter Expert Middleware & Financial Messaging your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

  • Ability to understand complex data conversion and transmission processes (mapping, formatting, enriching and validation of messages/data) (XML)
  • Experience in task automation
  • Experience in Process Documentation and Business Analysis
  • Experience in working in a virtual team environment

As a member we expect:

    • 2-4 years of experience in the banking industry, preferably in IT or operations
    • Min 2 years of experience in the messaging or payments landscape
    • To be fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
    • To have Bachelor Degree, Technical Diploma or equivalent
    • To have a strong analytical background for structured root cause analysis to investigate and solve incidents during the daily business processes
    • To develop and maintain effective working relationships
    • To manage the daily work and tasks in a structured and efficient manner
    • Knowledge in SWIFT standards and financial messaging
    • To work in customer-oriented manner
    • To be willing to gain new skills and experiences, but also share your knowledge
    • To identify potential improvements across all areas and to address to the central team
    • To show commitment to your job and have a shareholder-value oriented mindset
